Charming Area of Strasbourg Old Town!

Strasbourg's historic neighborhood is a serene collection of cobblestone roads, fine restaurants and 16th-century buildings.

Number 1 reason to visit Strasbourg, but also see this area by night
Just a beautiful city area and atmosphere. I recommend visiting several times, especially during lunch and at some point, at dark when the beautiful restaurants on the canal are open and the lights are colourful. There is a children's playground between one of the canals and several places worthwhile to have a casual picnic.

Everything anybody (tourist) might expect from such a wonderful place
Look at the photos! This is an absolutely wonderful location to travel through, on foot, via canal, bicycle or any other mode. The ambience, architecture, flowers, river, restaurants, pubs and shops is simply fantastic, especially when the sun is shining. The place just makes you want to linger and take the atmosphere in completely especially when downing one of the tastiest beers I have ever had...in Alsace? How can that be? I was amazed by an amber beer called "Fischer" Dorelei. Superb! The entire area sets you back several hundred years in time at that is just wonderful. I highly recommend this area to any traveler in the Alsace region.
