Nice ski runs, not long to wait at the lifts, BUT be careful, our rental skiers were stolen

La Bresse-Hohneck is the greatest ski station of North-Eastern France: 220 hectares dedicated to ski. The resort is situated in the heart of the very "Parc Naturel des Ballons des Vosges" with its stunishing landscapes, lakes, forests and ridges. Open from 6am to 9:45pm with dawn and night ski sessions. The resort also thinks of the youngest with OPOUALAND, a funny slope designed for children. Among La Bresse-Hohneck staple, experiment the SCHLITTE MOUNTAIN, an epic all-season seld !

Nice ski runs, not long to wait at the lifts, BUT be careful, our rental skiers were stolen
The ski area La Bress has a wide range of pists from green to black. When we´ve been there, the pists were quite empty and we didnt wait long at the ski lifts. At two points the markings could be a bit better. The bad experience of the day was that the rental skis including sticks were stolen from one of our group in the afternoon. She put them in front of the Le Slalom cafe and 20 minutes later they were no longer findable. When we headed to the police station in the entrance buildung there was already a queue of 8 people. Most of them telled us that there also had to report that their rental skiers were stolen. I´ve never experienced such a thing in other ski areas so I can only give you the good advice to keep your ski equipment in your field of view.

The ski arena is quite nice but honestly overcrowded… it 's a total nightmare to get there by par and to park… you can see cars everywhere..even bus shuttles have issues to reach the resort as car are parked where they are not allowed to be… The price is very affordable.. you have a two modern chairlift… the rest is outdated… meaning long queues on week end… The domain is well maintained. It could be far more enhanced from a business point of view, adding nice terraces , place to eat and drink…etc… Now, we are not in the alps so what they did there is still very valuable… but it misses a bit of organization and a bit of commercial touch..
