Its the river running through Metz and gives the town a better image. Great walks and running at the banks of the river. Nice parks.

    Good place to enjoy the day
    We went there in mid of December. So even though it is quite cold, however it is a very nice walk to go strolling in the bank of canals with family.

    Good, as canals go.
    You probably won't come and stare at this canal for hours on end, but the worthy city of Metz has provided you with things to do when you've had enough of looking at the water: the cathedral, the Temple Neuf, pleasant waterside cafés and restaurants, the opera theatre, historic old town rambles and the like. It's a lovely part of town.
