Best diving on Grand Cayman
I've made two trips to Grand Cayman in my life, for a week each. I have made a fair amount of dives in the West Bay and about 10 dives on the north wall. The West Bay is nice for the cattle calls off the cruise ship. It's definitely shallower and feels safer. Feels like a dive in the keys and is not what made the Caymans famous But if you go to Grand Cayman to dive you have to do the north wall. The top of the wall is anywhere from 45 to 60 feet depending on your dive site. And it drops off to 1000 I guess. But most of the good stuff as at the top. It is very easy to navigate because of this. And less experienced and younger divers can stay right at the top in a safe zone. For my most recent trip we took my 11 and 13-year-old daughters. They had no trouble hanging out at the top and still saw everything, turtles rays, grouper, and lion fish. The boat ride out can be tough on a windy day if you get seasick. But it is totally worth it and only last about 15 minutes. This area is what makes Grand Cayman possibly the best in the Caribbean. Other dives on Grand Cayman are no different then the keys Bahamas Turks etc. and Bonaire blows away any other parts of the island other than the Northwall. Dive it, you will not regret it

North Wall Ghost Mountain
This North Wall dive site called Ghost Mountain was the most amazing scuba dive in Grand Cayman. Top of pinnacle is 50' with sheer base to 240' before it then drops to the abyss of 4,000 feet deep. Eagle ray cruised by as a turtle was munching a snack from a sponge. This reef is one of the healthiest I have seen and the marine life is amazing like it was 30 years ago..
