Summer Solstice 2022
My family and I recently rafted the Gulkana River with Walt’s equipment. Earlier that day, a couple of our friends had gone kayaking, and one lost his kayak. So we set off on a rescue mission. Walt was wonderful to us! He had everything ready to go, and clearly communicated rafting basics to us at the river’s edge. We floated downriver and hooked up with our kayakers. The lost kayak was never found, but we were happy to be home before a thunderstorm started! Many thanks to Walt for his critical role in out successful rescue.

Great service
Walt recently add a 14 Cataraft to his fleet and we got first run with it. I own and have rowed Gulkana in an 18 ft Aire Leopard. The 14 footer was great. With my 3.5 hp we towed a full circle raft across lake without problem. The raft ran this seasons high water like a dream while hauling a good sized load. Walt was accommodating with need alterations and delivered us in style to put in. Awesome service. Alaska knowledge extensive. I definitely would rent with him again. Thanks Gulkana Raft Rental.
