Well maintained park

We enjoyed walking around the park and reading the different plaques at each location. We had our kids (10, 6 and 4) that enjoyed running to each spot and having us read to them. There is also a playground here that is pretty fun and the kids spent a good 30 minutes entertained on it.

    Great little park with historic buildings, picnic pavilion, and a demonstration rose garden
    This excellent heritage park is located along the Paluxy River near downtown Glen Rose, Texas. It has a number of historic area buildings, a full playground for the kids, a picnic pavilion, restrooms, walking paths, and ample parking. We stopped here to walk along the river, peek inside the buildings, and take photos on a Saturday afternoon. Much to our surprise, a wedding was being held outside one of the historic homes. What a lovely venue for that special day. If the kids are not interested in the historic buildings, there is a very nice playground. It is worth a stop.

    A great walking place
    Surrounded by a river view and some historic houses, this is a peaceful place for a picnic or a walk. We loved the view and took some wonderful pictures.
