Great Break from Quarantine
I can't believe we waited so long to do this! We needed a break from the house and kayaking the canal fit the bill. Due to Covid, the company couldn't run the shuttle so we dropped a car off at Lake Olmstead and then headed up to the Savannah Rapids Park. The staff was friendly and professional and the equipment in great condition. I was most impressed when they asked me to see my car keys that I would use to return after the trip. Smart! The trip itself was a beautiful 3-hour paddle and float with a good view of the wildlife and plenty of basking turtles. We enjoyed our time on the water, a brisk (15 mph) headwind made the lake navigation a little tough - but we slept good that night! Much thanks to the Savannah Rapids Kayak Rentals, we will be back.

Super friendly folks.
The operators here are incredibly nice. We took a float down the canal, took about three hours no paddling. The turn off the canal is well marked. They are taking proper precautions and sanitizing all equipment. Can't wait to visit again.

Summer Outdoor Fun!
My husband, our friend, and I all booked single kayaks and took a relaxing trip down the Savannah rapids canal. We had such a good time riding down, there is a lot of wildlife that convene down on the canal. I can't tell you how many turtle we saw. This my second time kayaking this waterway and I had just a good time as I did the first time. So worth it.
