Lake, mountains, swimming, fishing, just a ton of fun.
I only have wonderful things to say about LaPrade's Marina boat rental. The reservation process was smooth, customer service was superb, the staff were friendly and very helpful. It was our fist time driving a boat, yet we felt confident after going through their check-in process. Lake Burton is a little paradise in North Georgia. The lake is surrounded by mountains, the water is transparent, there are small islands where you can stop near by to swim and have a picnic. There are several coves where fishing is just perfect. We caught our first one after the second cast. Bait can be purchase at the marina. The marina also has a couple restaurants, a boutique and even an ice cream place. The only thing I regret was not renting the boat for a full day, half day went by too fast!

Trip highlight!
We rented a half-day boat with LaPrade’s and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The online booking was easy and convenient and everyone was so friendly at the marina. The pontoon boat was easy to drive, even for the less-experienced :) A great way to explore the lake and we saw just about all of it with a half-day rental. Highly recommend!

Great Day on Lake Burton
Rental experience could not have been better. Ron greeted us when we arrived, directed us to Lillie who handle the check in & gave us great tips to navigate the lake. Back to Ron, who had the pontoon boat ready fir us, great job covering the operation of the boat along with more great tips to enjoy Lake Burton. Both Ron & Lillie were great, couldn’t be more helpful & delightful. Awesome Lake, would do it again. Return process just as smooth as check-in. Great day cruising, swimming & tubing. Lillie’s & Ron’s tips made it even better.
