Visiting from the USA and loved it

Best theme park
My wife and I stayed at the Gold Reef City Hotel with my son and his two daughters aged 9 and 11. The rooms were wonderful and the meals at Barneys Restaurant on site were so good we ate all our meals there. The rides were amazing and considered by my son and his daughters to be equal to those at the theme park in Paris we took them to last year with the added bonus of little or no queues, A unique feature here is the possibility of visiting a gold mine to learn about the extraction and processing of this mineral Would add that the staff at the hotel came to our rescue after we stayed too long at Johannesburg Zoo and missed the last hop on hop off tour bus to get back to the hotel. Thankfully the zoo staff were able to contact the hotel who then arranged for a taxi to collect us.

A little disappointed
Visited Gold reef during the weekend and I paid for the tickets online which is a great bargain as they are discounted and saves you from standing on long queues. Had access to all the rides but only tried two cause the waiting lines are sooo long and you spend more time there, glad I tried the anaconda scariest by far but if I did it so could you...lol I love food guys and the food joints here just didn’t tickle my taste buds so I stuck to having ice cream. All in all it’s a great theme park hope to visit during the week maybe it will be less crowed. Side note make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing and ladies leave your wigs at home ?
