worth a visit but better if you have a little Spanish

Very smart layout in a number of rooms in old naval buildings. It has a traditinal layout so there is little of the "hands on /experiential " exibits designed for children these days. There is little in English apart from one wall with a chart and explanation of the failure of the Spanish Armarda. The sentiment expressed was that the Spanish were not defeated by the British navy but a number of complex factors working against them. In a way that is all true but maybe the Spanish don't use the management saying " fail to prepare then prepare to fail"! If for no other reason its worth a visit to avoid the rain and its free.

    Model ship lover’s paradise
The entrance was free the day we went but isn’t always . A good selection of exhibits. A lot of anchors outside . Model ships in all sizes inside and other interesting exhibits. Not too big a space and of course a gift shop. Toilets available

    Must sea
Although i'm not a big fan ofboats, the visit was great. It is very well looked after, full of interesting and harmonious things. The visit will not take you much time therefore it is recommended even if you are not a fan of the theme.
