Very interesting guided visit
Colegio PP Escolapios is a big and very nice building located in the center of Monforte de Lemos, a town in Galicia Region, in the North of Spain. Nowadays this building has a school (Colegio de Nuestra Señora de la Antigua is also known), which you can visit in a guided visit. We decided to do it, which was very interesting. We could learn a lot about the building, the history and the school. Also, we could visit a little museum and the main church. Recommendable guides visit. The Compañía College or Nuestra Señora la Antigua College, impressive and majestic.
The Compañía College or Nuestra Señora la Antigua College is a huge and monumental building, church, school, etc built between the 16th and 17th centuries. It is also known as the Galician Escorial or Escorial gallego because of its Herrerian style and similar characteristics with El Escorial, Madrid. This site is impressive from the outside and inside. The church is massive inside and spectacular. This is a must see attraction in this city.

Opening hours
We were facinated by this Colegio. We had a great hostel room with a view to this ancient building :) we started our trip early so we qere a bit disappointed to find out that the Colegio is open from 11:30 If you want to see this place, visit it during lunchtime :)
