Wonderful town ruins in a peninsula!
Castro de Baroña are Celtic ruins located close to the sea in a little peninsula, in Galicia Region, in the North of Spain. Really the remains of the town are very well-preserved and you can walk around it and see wonderful views of the surroundings, especially the sea. It was inhabitated between 1th Century b.C. and 1th Century a.C. and it has a magic atmosphere, specially if you are a pre-historia lover. We came here at sunrise and we could see different colors in the sea and the ruins, really wonderful. Walk, see, take photos and enjoy the place!

The ideal place to catch galician history
Wonderful beach so close to one of the best examples of celtic village - hence the name- Castro. Great views. Check accesibility coz I haven't come back there and I read the city council were going to make some works to protect it much better and improve accesibility.

What a beautiful wonderful place to visit!
This small ancient settlement is such a find. Sat out on a promentary, it's incredible it has survived for such a long time. The site has plenty of signs and information which is in both Spanish and English. Lots of explanation as to what you are looking at. The best part is to simple take it all in, a beautiful location with incredible history and wonderful views. Well worth visiting. Not worth visiting if you have any mobility issues as it is down by the beach and along a rather steep downhill (and uphill too)
