A lovely place to walk and enjoy the views
Avenida de la Marina is one of the most traditional streets in La Coruna. The galleries that line this street are one of the most famous sights of the city and one of the largest glass complexes in the world. The complex was built in two phases when the old walls were demolished. The first in 1870 and 1876 and the second in 1879 and 1884. This glazed scenography of the galleries has given La Coruna the name of the Crystal City. It is very relaxing place with good ambiance and scenic view. And also one of the liveliest areas of the city with many restaurants, bars and street cafes.

Very well done
A real joy to walk, our boat was in the marina on this avenue, so we walked it every day for a week. We love the lamps the best, but all of it clean and well done.

nice area for a stroll...
or maybe sit and while away an hour or so. Not much to do but lots of bars and restaurants which can get busy. A good stop on the way to/from the old fort. an outstanding example of how this kind of area should be regenerated
