A Great Way to Learn About the Ciry

My husband and I spent 4 days in Galena. The trolley ride was the first thing on our agenda. We heard about the history of Galena as well as discovering the layout of the town The driver was knowledgeable and shared his knowledge with us. I would recommend this ride, the cost of the ride was a good value for what we received...it was also easily accessible, with parking close. We did go on the first ride of the day...that might have helped with parking spots. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride

    Trolley Ride
    We greatly enjoyed the one hour trolley tour of Galena; however, they need to update their advertising. At the present time they only offer a one-hour tour and do not offer the two and one half hour tour which takes you to the Belvidere, Grant home, and the Dowling home. Everything we checked online showed that they offered both tours, but when we went to purchase tickets we were told there was only the one hour tour. Our trolley driver did a great job and was very informative. We would highly recommend the one hour tour.

    Great overview and orientation to Galena
    Our well-informed driver took us around and told us a lot about the history of Galena. We saw many historical buildings. We heard very good summaries of the local history. For a tour that lasted less than 60 minutes, however, I thought $20 was a bit pricey and took off one star. Otherwise very satisfied.
