Peaceful
Possibly the most relaxing and peaceful lagoon I have visited. Not only an abundance of wildlife above the waterline but below were baby hammerhead, white tipped and black tipped sharks, baby seals as well as fish of many varieties, colours and size. Truly one of Earths treasures and beautifully preserved.

Tranquil spot
Hidden spot perfect for relaxing after a day tour or for a morning walk. There is signage along the way that explains the mangrove ecosystem. There are several docks to sit and view the landscape. Our kids were able to play around and spot fish. I recommend this location to wind down and even have a romantic walk. Educational activity to learn about the island ecosystem.

Peaceful refuge
Having read reviews, I did not expect much, but as we were spending four nights in Puerto Ayora it seemed worth a stop. I ended up going back the next day because I enjoyed it so much. It's very peaceful and there is interesting signage in English and Spanish describing the flora (and some amusing carvings on the fence only in Spanish). While I personally didn't see much in the way of wildlife besides some little fish, it was a peaceful refuge that I really enjoyed. And it's free! The only way to make it better would be to make the boardwalk so that it was a loop rather than an out-and-back.
