The best island on this trip to see nature at its best

The beach at Gardner Bay offers one of the best beaches to experience “relaxing beach time” in Galapagos. Visitors can swim or snorkel along the rocks in the shallow water near the beach. Green Sea Turtles may be found gliding through the water or hauling themselves onto the beach for a rest or for nesting (between January and March).

    World calss beach
This meets all the qualifications of a great beach: crystal clear water, nice surf, isolated location--no crowds, Sea Lions for show, clean sand--no debris or trash, warm water, great scenery, and quiet. The sand is like powder and it is so white! This is a good stop and it will raise your bar for what a great beach is!

Beautiful beach - ok snorkeling on the day we were there
We stopped here on a cruise in the Galapagos and it was a beautiful beach. The water was refreshing but the snorkeling was okay. We did see some small sharks, sting rays but not too many fish. The snorkeling required a fair amount of swimming, which was fine for me, but was not ideal for everyone in our group as some people were not as comfortable swimming out from shore a ways. The beach had wonderful sand and was long and lovely. It was a nice afternoon stop on our cruise.
