St. Nicolaj Church

I walked past it by chance and thought I'd take a look inside. It's free and built of bricks which gave it a nice touch. It's not a must see but worth a stop if you are in the area.

    Well Kept Church
I've walked past this church so many times, but only on my last visit to Svendborg did I go inside and found out that it is free to visit and to light a candle is a voluntary donation. Inside, the church is well kept, a line of roses was a nice touch and a hanging model ship is a Danish Tradition. Outside, this church was built of brick in the 13th century and a stone church stood in the same spot a century before that. You can still see the stone foundation today.
