Excelent beer tasting and lunch
Spending a couple of days at beautiful Ærø. Decided early to visit the local brewery and we found out they offer beer tasting. It was a very interesting 75 minutes where we got to know the history of the brewery and tested 5 different beers. We had their delicious smørrebrød as lunch after the tasting session. It is not cheap, but I can really recommend this place.

Worth climbing the hill on the bike
This is the best spot for a meal or light lunch with a nice beer after a bike ride around the island. The brewery is very easy to find but it is on the top of the hill when you are coming from Marstal - do not get put off by the steep road, the views are great. Going back to the brewery, the cafe is lovely with a nice selection of Danish open faced sandwich (smorrebrod) and the beer of the day. They do offer a delivery service at the shop if you want to buy some beers but don't want to carry the heavy weight on your bike.

Good café, good beer, good location.
Good (a bit expensive) beer. The cafe serves quality food. It is possible to see the production through windows and open doors even though you're not on tour. Be sure to check our the "langdysse" near by - a bronze age grave.
