Best gammeldags ice-cream!

Stopped in this beautiful village edith my teenage children to enjoy the beach on a sunny day. Didn't fancy the mini golf by the entrance to the marina but couldn't resist the ice cream cone! It was the best and most generously filled icecream cone (gammeldags) we've ever had. Simply overwhelming and such a treat. We could have st reassured by the little shop but we took ours to the beach and watched the beach volleyball and the waves while we enjoyed the cone. The fact they put guf (marshmallow) in the bottom stops the cone from dripping.....I know it sounds simple but it was brilliant!

Just a nice place for an evening walk
Walk here and enjoy the calm setting. Beach near by, restaurant at location and a relaxing stroll is what's called for

    A nice place to visit
One more cycling day for us! It took us about one and a half hour to cycle from Odense center to this town. We really enjoyed cycling and the scenery along the way. Denmark is one of the most bicycle-friendly countries in the world, so cycling there is so enjoyable and safe. We saw half harvested potato fields, large grass....Kerteminde is a peaceful town with a lot of frontbeach restaurants and houses. The beach is not excellent but fine. Actually I felt a little disappointed but my husband, maybe because I'm passionate for beach. We walked along the beach, collected some colorful stones, then went through small alleys among houses, return to the harbor by the main road. Unfortunately it was quite cold and windy that day, only my husband swam a little bit, I didn't. We stopped by Fiske Restaurant Rudolf Mathis for lunch. Yes. We went there for fish. We were served good lunch! After lunch, we cycled a little into the town center where more houses, shops, buildings are located. The town looked traditional and beautiful. We really like the atmosphere there. One minus point is upon our arrival at the harbor, we tried to look for a toilet, in fact we found some but couldn't enter. There was a sign indicating that we need to pay for using the toilet but no instructions for the payment. We could use the restroom of the restaurant. We only had a half day for this town, so maybe it was not enough to see how interesting this destination is. We may come back next year for longer stay.
