Bring or buy a picnic lunch, camera and swimsuit
I havce ridden a bicycle from one end of the trail to the other. At a good speed I was able to get from one end to the other in about 1.5 hours. I passed several beautiful beaches where you can stop and swim or just listen to the waves and enjoy the atmosphere. For the active people seeking adventure you can even take kite boarding lessons, or just relax and capture the beautiful images on your camera. The ride will take you pas the new International Marina, Exhibition Center, Arts Center, Xiamen University as well as the beautiful beaches along the shared pedestrian and bicycle pathway. It is one of the best Harbour front Trails and Roads I have experienced and there are always signs of development and improvement.

Scenic Road
We were taken on a drive on this very nice stretch of road that had scenic views of the ocean. We periodically pulled over into various parking lots to get out and walk along the paths or beaches. The city did a very nice job of making this an attractive place to get out and bike, walk or run along separate paths away from traffic and nicely maintained landscaping. Beaches were clean and, at this time of the year, not too many people out and about. We turned around next to the huge One Country, Two Systems sign that supposedly is visible to Taiwan.
