Great place
A nice place to view a world heritage site. A building that made a sweet memory for a tourist to capture nice photo.

Fascinating architecture
So enjoyed my visit here. Not that popular with the tourists, so very quiet. Specifically chosen by our guide for that reason, as well as that there are a range of Tulou designs in this cluster, from multi-layer, to square, to round ones and some fairly recent ones - there 14 in the cluster. Remember to climb up to the viewing point, it’s worth it. Inside, they tend to become repetitive. It was useful having a guide to give us the history. You obviously need transport - we hired a driver - to get there. It’s nearly 3 hours from Xiamen, depending in traffic. You can also sleep at a Tulou house - we did a homestay. Note that the beds are hard Chinese beds and few Western Toilets.
