Feel the freedom at the Wadden Sea
I have been sailing with Wazeezeilen and Skipper Maarten Klapwijk on the VD99 three times now. Twice we went to the Engelsmansplaat in the "Waddenzee" north of the Netherlands to 'fall dry' at low tide and once we sailed on the Lauwersoog. Each time the experience in the largest natural preserve of the Netherlands (and Unesco World Heritage location!) was close to magic. It is hard to describe the feeling, sailing the sea walking around on the mud flats, watching the birds and the seal colonies... Maarten and his crew are extremely nice and know a lot about this natural preserve which they happily share with their guests. They also allow guests - including kids! - to sail the ship. It may be interesting to know they have a special eye for the need of elderly people: my 80-yr mother had the day of her life! Excellent for a day out with family or friends, especially if you love nature and being together in a relaxed athmosphere. You will come back completely recharged!
