Great local brewery and distillery!
Being a whisky fan, I always wanted to visit one of the rare Dutch distilleries. Although the building from the outside doesn't directly makes you think distillery or craft beer (they're originally brewing beer), the tour and philosophy of Us Heit completely convinces you! Be sure to check their website as they're only open on certain days of the week!

Great place for something different in whisky and beer
We were touring around and noticed there was a brewery in the area so popped by. Imagine our delight being Scottish and whisky fans when we found they distilled whisky too. Pleased to note that on tasting we recommend both of the whiskies sold though we chose the single malt. It was quite reasonably priced. There is nearby bar Der Wijnberg where we has some of the beer on draft. We did. Pt eat there but food looked good too. Lovely wee active town without the bustle of Amsterdam.

Tour and tasting
We had a wonderful time on the tour - very detailed and explained in English and dutch. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. After the tour was the tasting - another fabulous experience. Overall I would highly recommend Us Heit to anyone in the area or anyone wanting to see a fine micro brewery set up and taste some of the Netherlands finest. Their store also had some incredible products that made great souvenirs. (we travelled with a small infant - the premises was stroller friendly)
