Quite pretty!.
The Leeuwarden Railway Station started being used in 1863, with the opening of the Leeuwarden to Harlingen line. Quite a pretty station actually, also from the inside.

Clean good information system
In a good position easy walk out of main centre. As with many Netherlands stations well modernised, easy to read information especially in English and Dutch. Very clean and tidy with happy helpful staff. Will you take over our stations please?

Pleasant and adequate
An old station building dating from 1863, but is well renovated and adjusted to the requirements of modern times. Easy to find your way to the different railway lines and adjacent bus station. Clean and there is a "watertappunt" to fill up your bottles with good quality drinking water. OV-fiets (bike rental) is downstairs on your right when leaving the main hall of the station. Take a closer look at the interior of the main hall which is nicely decorated with colorful tiles. The arched windows are wonderful.
