Nice and relatively quiet beach on Schiermonnikoog
Probably the best beach of all of the Wadden Islands, since it is often very quiet. Hire a bike at the ferry, bike a kilometres east, visit restaurant Marlijn before or after you walk a few miles on this lovely broad beach.

Beautiful beach
Cycle north once you leave the village. Follow the wide cyclist road to the beach. The beach is as wide as eyes can see. It is a long walk to the waterfront. Funny thing is that the activities on the beach are divided: the active sport are on the right and the meditational activities are on the left! It was a surprising warm and sunny day in February. The sea is calm. We took a stroll with our dog and we loved it. Due to Corona the restaurant is closed but the public toilet at the beach is open.
