Adventurous evening tour guided by Kayak Tjonger Tours
Great tour guided by Kayak Tjonger Tours. We started at restaurant/hotel "De Tjonger Vallei" and peddled across the Tjeukemeer towards the delightful river "De Tjonger". Experiencing nature from a kayak feels like moving through a beautiful living Dutch landscape painting. Upon arriving at the Tjeukemeer, we witnessed Great Cormorants from a distance of less than 1 meter! Other birds we spotted included falcons, ducks and different kinds of geese. Although my experience with kayaking is limited, this 2.5 hour tour was easy to do and very much fun. The company offers different routes, so that the level of activity can be adjusted according to the desire of the participants. I highly recommend this tour to everybody who loves nature and would like to see it from a different perspective.
