Beautiful Building in a small town
Visited Franeker as part of tour of my ancestral roots. The town was clean, easy to walk and interesting. The City Hall was an unexpected treat. It was open for tours with printed material explaining the building, its additions and the function of the inside rooms. There was a docent who was welcoming and helpful but with limited English. There was no charge to tour the building.

Amazing architecture
FRANEKER was home to an old university that Napoleon closed in 1810. It is a cross from the deaths oldest working planetarium. It was a center of early Frisian culture.

Beautiful temporary building
Very impressive building, in the middel of the very old and picturesque city of Franeker. The stained glas windows. The window sills and steps.
