Love the “ Love”, it’s not a tautology this time

And yet another discovery of the name Jaume Plensa, Barcelona-born Spanish sculpture and one of his masterpieces - Fountain “ Love”. Piensa’s exhibits are to be found around the Globe. And what a privilege it is for amazing artistic Leeuwarden, to have one of his best works, specially created and inspired for/by the city! As soon as you arrive in Leeuwarden and step out of the train, the city greets you with “Love” which is in front of central station.

    Lovely!!!
Quite an inspiring work by art by the Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, just opposite the train station of Leeuwarden (about 2 hours and 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam). It was apparently one of the 11 art projects commissioned by the Friesland province of the Netherlands, when Leeuwarden, the capital of the Friesland province, became one of the European capitals of culture.

    sculpture by Spanish artist
this piece of art stands in front of the office of "Maandag" opposite the central train station of Leeuwarden. It has been made by Jaume Plensa in 2017, just before the year 2018 when Leeuwarden was the cultural capital of Europe. The way the damp if coming out of the ground gives a bit of a surreal feeling. This is certainly worth a visit.
