Enjoyed The Experience
This was our first visit to this winery, it will not be the last. We visited on a Friday night for the steak night which is $32 per person with drinks and desert extra. This winery makes all their wine with blueberries. We had a bottle of Sassy Sangria, which was fantastic, with our dinner. The wife had salmon and I had the beef medallions and were served warm rolls, a choice of a side salad or a cup of soup (we took the soup which was lobster bisque), baked potatoes, baked beans and sautéed vegetables. On the weekends they have live music on a small stage. The night we visited it was a woman playing acoustical guitar. Even though it was 90 outside, we ate outside. They have large fans under the roof moving air around. The meals are also cooked outside. The ambiance was great. We did not have any deserts. The only two slight criticism I have: 1. The big industrial fans are good at moving air under the patio but made it difficult to hear the server and the music. They had a big ceiling fan but it was not on. 2. I asked for medium on my medallions but they were fairly rare on the inside and no one ever checked to see if it was cooked to my liking. That ended up being a wash however since the medallions were the best beef I have had since the early 1990’s when I ate at a high class restaurant in Denver that was in an old church. We will definitely visit again but it will not be a weekly event for us.

Tastings and Tour
we loved the winery! Whispering Oaks had just what we wanted in atmosphere and in offerings. I don’t think I’ve had a better time at a tasting than there today. Wines are priced at $20 average per bottle. However, more blueberries are in each bottle. The guitarist this afternoon had a Smokey voice and played sultry tunes from the likes of Norah Jones and Carly Simon. Our group was able to take the tour of how the wines are produced. Overall, a splendid way to spend a rainy day!
