The Casements Historical summer home of John D. Rockefeller
This historic gem, summer home of John D. Rockefeller, is located along Hwy 20 (Granada Ave) in Ormond Beach, Florida. The site is managed by the staff of The Casements Guild, offering free narrated guided tours or there is a online source for self-guided tours. Well worth hearing the stories provided by these guides. A visit will be filled with beautiful interior architecture and exterior grounds and many pleasant greetings by local volunteers who share the life of John Rockefeller and the events that make Ormond Beach interesting and historic. Great for singles, couples, families or anyone interested in leisurely exploring the grounds and adjacent park. The Guild does accept donations but no pressure for contributions. If in the area this is a recommended destination.

Beautifully Restored
The Casement House at one time was owned by John D. Rockefeller who loved golf and car racing. It is located in Ormond Beach across from the Hotel Ormond. It’s rich history of famous visitors including Thomas Edison and Henry Ford is well documented throughout the displays. After his death the house was sold and used in several ways before being abandoned and allowed to deteriorate. It was restored using federal grant money but unfortunately many of the casement windows for which it was named are no longer part of the house. There are no guided tours at this time but you can use a cell phone ap available that will give you an audio tour detailing the history and restoration. It is free to tour the house and grounds and there is plenty of free parking. 90 minutes will be plenty of time to complete the tour.
