Best Car, and other interests, Museum in America, IMO.

The mirrored walls of the Tallahassee Automobile Museum enclose more than just automobiles! This 100,000 sf. facility houses cars, trucks and memorabilia of all kinds. In addition to the antique cars, muscle cars, concept cars, and trucks -- check out the eclectic collection of Steinway pianos, Remington sculptures, Case knives, Barbie dolls, boats, boat motors, children's pedal cars, and die-cast toys. Journey through history with Native American artifacts, firearms, antique cash registers, pocket watches, salt-cellars, baby bottles, silver spoons, baseball cards, antique golf balls and clubs, 100-year-old brass-bladed fans, art objects from Thailand, neon signs, stained glass, a horse from a carousel, a children's barber chair shaped like an airplane and much, much more. Part shrine, part history lesson, part pack-rat's paradise, part garage and part art gallery -- except, in this case, the art has four spotless wheels and can go from 0 to 60 faster than a Cezanne can. It's truly an amazing museum of American history.

Best Car, and other interests, Museum in America, IMO.
Some great Examples of rare and interesting Automobiles, Trucks, Motorcycles, Models, Canoes, Outboards from Current and defunct brands, rare Pianos, Case Knives, Old Radios, Cell phones thru the years, miniature and larger dolls, Kitchen appliances, peddle cars...about anything imaginable. All small items are displayed behind glass enclosures and everything is neatly and educationally presented. This Museum can be enjoyed by all ages and even older children would be entertained by displays of Batman cars, motor scooters and lots of other smaller items.

    Huge display, limited vision
The automobile collection is immense. Few museums will display this many cars, the disadvantage is that it is easy to "stroll" through the cars and never really see much of any one car. The cars are so close together that it's almost like looking at the grills of cars. You can see along the side but there's really no other view that from the front. I am a fan of early cars and the museum easily had a dozen of them on the back wall. A fabulous collection but... again, only one view is available. I have to say that the pricing was a little irritating. I entered as a single senior visitor and paid $18. Behind me was a family of 3 whose tickets totaled $27. Doesn't make sense. There is a lot more to see but I am nota fan of period clothing or any of the others things they have. the antique pianos looked fabulous. If you expect people to stay a long time, Some seating might be a good consideration.
