Orange bowl

First time here to the new Hard Rock Stadium it is called now. Attended the Orange Bowl and had seats in the club section. A little pricey but a once in a lifetime experience. Traffic in and out of the stadium is a nightmare but the stadium itself is really fabulous, one of the nicest I've seen. If taking an uber you really need to be dropped off outside the gates and to get picked up you need to go back out of the gates or you'll be waiting a long time.

    Amazing stadiu
I watched the U Miami vs Virginia tech game here, and it was awesome. The large parking lot with tailgators, and new renovation with roof were beautiful. the roof bounces the sound into the stadium, making the football game noisy and great.

    Better Than A Dome
Miami gets a lot of rain. Because South Florida has a semi-tropical climate, both the humidity and temperature can be high; however, they moderate somewhat once summer ends. Prior to last year Sun Life Stadium, as Hard Rock Stadium was known before the 2016 NFL Season, offered no roof to protect fans from the elements, such as rain, which can be torrential during the summer and fall hurricane season and the blistering afternoon direct sunshine. In 2013, The NFL let the Miami Dolphins know that despite South Florida's popularity as a Super Bowl destination, its delapidated, antiquated and uncomfortable Sun Life stadium were no longer going to be in the rotation for the biggest sports event in the world, exceeding the Olympics Opening and Closing ceremonies and Soccer World Cup finals in worldwide tv ratings and bringing over a hundred million dollars of benefits to the host region. Finally after several years of failed attempts by the Dolphins ownership to get the state and local government to pay the over $400 million to pay for a complete stadium renovation, the team's owner agreed to step up and finance it himself. For 2 years the construction took place, replacing almost all of the structural elements of the stadium except the foundation and surrounding parking fields. Most importantly, a roof covering all seats was installed along with new hig speed escalators and elevators to get fans to mid and upper deck seats. However, the field has been left open to the elements giving the two home teams, Miami Dolphins of the NFL and NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference University of Miami Hurricanes, a great home field advantage of baking sun during daytime games and torrential rainstorms whenever it rains. The new stadium has wonderfully updated facilities including a huge team store for Dolphins, U of M Canes and NFL memorabilia plus great restaurants and cocktail lounges with one that has a full sized swimming pool that only lacks a beach for fans that need to be reminded that Miami-Dade County is the home of South Beach and encourages female fans to change into their bikinis. For pre-game parking lot tailgate parties, a large store has been added that sells all needed supplies, hamburger patties, hotdogs plus buns and charcoal plus beer, sodas and all kinds of other food at supermarket prices that is closed during the game but reopens after for those that want to resume tail gating. From a dreary fan experience, Miami's stadium has been transformed into a great place to go that lives up to its new name HARD ROCK STADIUM!
