Enjoyed our first time riding
My husband and I had never ridden before and wanted to give it a try while on vacation. We called and reserved for 8 am on a Saturday; unfortunately, they did not have us on the books when we arrived so the horses weren't ready to go. However, Linda jumped into action immediately and did her best to give us a good experience. She picked two horses, Diamond and George, for our ride and personally guided us through the trails. The horses were perfect for us and we had a good time. Note that, although it's not specfied on their website, it is expected that you tip your guide $20 per hour (they lead on foot, so well-deserved!). Also CASH only, so be prepared!

Here we go......
Went on an 1 1/2 hour ride today. Was quoted $45 p/p ..the conversation with the receptionist was...weird! Just felt odd. Went prepared to pay $45 x 2 plus $25 for tour guide...however it was $45 plus tax = $49.50 per person!! No receipt. The tour guide-Justin- was wonderful for my grand daughter and I. The place is shabby. The restroom/outhouse is awful! Someone needs to clean up the grounds.. It is a simple ride - good for beginners. A seasoned rider may not enjoy the ride. We enjoyed the ride. (FYI The receptionist person ask if another person would be with us?? I said no. Why? He said because it is a $5 charge for a person to wait on the grounds - After going there... don't leave someone to wait!)

Surly management, couldn't keep appointment
We made 10AM reservations for six to ride in late December. We weren't sure how many would ride for 1 vs 2(3) hours. Rita said we were booked for 6 to pay for 2 hour rides and that there was no way to change the reservation once we were on the property. I said that we had left it open as to how many would ride for 2 hours (3rd free) and that the website said reservations were not required. She finally conceded and let us split the group into 1 and 2 hour rides. Then, they didn't have enough horses and we were told we should have horses "within the hour" . The two of us who did want to ride for 2 hours went out for an hour and came back then had to wait another 30 minutes for the rest of our group to get horses. They said they could not give discounts for the delay. Jeremy and the other trail guide were quite helpful and kind to our kids, and to the horses. I appreciate that they are a rescue stable, and the kids thought the petting zoo was fun--but the surly behavior about payment when they could not even honor the reservation was not appreciated.
