Sugarland Tours, Florida, United States

4.5 (43 reviews) Spent Ranking #4 in Clewiston Sightseeing Tours

Very interesting explanation of the sugar farming industry.

This is a very interesting experience and a chance to understand the Sugar industry in the U.S. We saw the sugar harvesting process from burning off the leaves to harvesting and delivery to the train. We weren't able to see the inside of the production plant due to an issue there. But it was still well explained from the outside of how it was processed. The tour guide, Brian, was excellent, answering questions and providing information. The tour lasted about 4.5 hours that included a short video and time to tour the museum which is very interesting also.

    Learned about sugar process
This was 2 be a 4 hr tour but was about 4 1/2. Which was fine. Pur gu9de Bobby was so knowledgeable he gave us so much information on sugar from planting to shipping. Also learned history of lake okachoobee and the city of lewiston It's almost all sitting in the tour bus (24 passengers) with 1 bathroom stop and one other leg stretch. We actually drove into the sugar cane fields to watch the harvest And then to the sugar mill and refinery Well worth the minimal cost.
