A Beautiful Center on Downtown Palatka’s Waterfront
Palatka’s downtown has seen a renaissance with the leadership of many residents including the Batram’s Trails Group. The St. John’s River Center, designed for children, is interesting to grown-ups, too. Learn about Bartram’s Travels, the St. John’s River and the area ecology. Step right outside and stroll the beautiful waterfront and downtown Palatka’s many shops and restaurants. A nice place to spend a weekend afternoon, the Center is open 11-4 on Sat. And 1-4 pm on Sun.

St Johns River Center
They have really fixed up the down town area on the river. They have music down there on Saturdays some times. It is a nice place to go walk and see the river. I'm so glad that they finally cleaned the area up.

Relaxing place to visit
The area is very well maintained, there is a nice park/play area for the kids with swings and such that have picnic tables for the adults to sit and keep an eye on the kids. There is a path where you can walk along the water and see the boats or launch your own boat. The only drawback is there are no bathroom facilities at this time.
