Volusia has great trails

Volusia County has some of the best trails in the state. Although, this trail lacks signage on the leg that runs north to Deleon Springs, and has a few gaps to deal with, it's still a very nice ride. On the north leg, just be sure where the gaps are located so you won't get lost.

Great Walk or Ride
This trail has a very nice, smooth surface without uneven sections or holes. Great for a walk with room for an exercise buddy to stride next to you. People on the path are courteous and make way for bikes or faster foot traffic. A comfortable bike ride without steep areas. Caution - long parts of the path are in full sun, wear sunscreen & visor/hat. Walkers & riders see eagles , rabbits, wild turkeys, armadillos and other wildlife. Convenient parking at either end of the trail.

Relaxing bike trail for beginners
The spring to spring trail is a paved 2-3 mile route that takes you from Gemini springs to lake Monroe. Almost every time I bike this route I see some type of wildlife from rabbit to armadillo to the occasional dear. Once I even saw a bald eagle flying overhead. The trail has very little incline is smooth and is a great place to just get away.
