Pleasant Surprise

I wanted to break the monotony of playing at Westchase GC all the time so I went to Silver Dollar which is actually closer for me. Not bad at all. Decent challenge, great for practice, Good mix of par 3, 4, and 5s. I used practically every club in my bag. Greens were in great shape. Tee boxes weren’t great but so what. For 15 bucks, couldn’t complain about anything. Well maybe the sloooooooww foursome playing in front of me for the front 9. I’m all for families golfing but sheesh, let the solo player behind you play through. Did not see a cart girl a at all. I will go back again this summer.

    Pro Shop could be more customer friendly
    My golf partner and I have been playing golf at the Silver Dollar for 4 years. We really enjoy the layout and price, however today the pro shop manager was really rude to my partner. We know this time of year we should have a tee time but we just wanted to get some golf in. The pro shop manager made a point in front of other customers to chastise my friend for not calling first. The course was not that busy. If I spoke to customers at the airport the same way he spoke to us I would be looking for another job. Mike M

    Golf and Trapped
    Went to play golf and they extended the shooting range to right in front of the first tee and 9th green and could be heard for miles amongst the tree lines. Course was playable and the restaurant was ok.
