Stingy Casino
Stayed overnight at the Hard Rock Casino Tampa. Check in was great had to wait for the room only 20 minutes but we arrived earlier than check in time so it was nice to be accommodated. Casino payouts were really bad earlier in the day until around 4:00 and then it started to give you enough to keep you playing. Which only makes you want to stay longer and are will to play a lot more of your own money. I had a very bad experience with the bar staff. We were over by the West Tower and the bar located in that area only to experience a very rude bartender while trying to grab a beer and get back out on the floor to gamble. I followed one woman bartender around to different areas who kept ignoring me. After some time I went back to my husband where he was standing at the steps only to get behind 4 other people. When she finally waited on me she choose to engage in a conversation with another bartender and made me wait with my beer in her hand. I tipped her when she finally gave me my beer which I should not have done. I am tired to hearing about short staffing, the bottom line if you are working with the public take some pride in your job and do the very best you can. Maybe I have been watching Bar Rescue too much don't know. I do know this, next time I go I will take my cooler to the room and go up to have my drinks there. The hotel is nice. Casino needs more penny machines and not starting at $2.00 each spin.

Fun night out
This is not a review for the hotel. I have only been on the casino part. Pros- All of the staff members I encountered were great! Courteous staff, and plenty of cocktail associates. We were able to eat at the Rise restaurant and they still had great food. Not long of a wait for food. Always enjoy the flavors at the restaurants. I will always recommend the restaurants and bars here! Cons- (I normally give a higher rating) There were no “clean team” associates in the back area near Cipresso. The machines were unclean through most of that area. The main issue that I have had the last few times I went was the comp system. I went to talk to the associate about why I didn’t receive a similar amount of free play. I spent a large amount the last several times I was there and received very little free play. The associate told me that if I was playing a machine that has a “moving jackpot” I don’t get free play from it. I had barely played the multi-property jackpot machines. I have received a decent amount in property credit but almost nothing in free play. The Tampa property also hasn’t started the free play drawings yet. I would like to actually be called to win free play as I’ve never been called to win it since I started playing at the property in 2004.
