Sunset Cruise with Captain John is a must.
Captain John is full of energy and information! His boat was lovely and his dog, Zoey, joined us for our excursion on the water. I took my parents out for a 3 hour sunset cruise on The Manta and we had such a fantastic evening. Captain John’s communication during the the entire process was excellent. We spoke over the phone during the booking, he sent friendly reminder texts with clear instructions before the cruise, and even sent both me and my mother photos and videos of our cruise the day after. Highly recommend!

Promise fulfilled! It was fantastic!
What a great time, I mean…fantastic time had by all!! We did a 4 hour trip with Captain John and Zoey (I should have brought my dog too! :)) where we got to hear about the area, see tons of birds, a quick stop to find sharks teeth and shells, may or may not have seen a dolphin, and wrapped it up with a beautiful sunset. He promised a fantastic day, and it was!! Captain John is knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and made everyone feel welcomed and a priority. Highly recommend to all! And a huge thank you for the pics and videos he sent us afterwards.

A super tour.
Four of us had a wonderful few hours with Captain John around the Nokomis/Venice area. Highlights included a remarkable display of dolphins, a slow sail around a bird sanctuary island rookery just before sunset as hundreds of all types of birds flew in to nestle for the night in the island's trees , capped by a run into the Gulf where we watched a magnificent sunset. Captain John himself was really entertaining as he shared with us a lot of the history and information regarding the area's fish, birds and animals as well as the area itself. A really super few hours! Thank you Captain John.
