Amazing time in Homosassa!
My brother and I went on a tour given by Krissy and Captain Fish. We had an amazing time! They were both friendly, funny, informative, and excellent at spotting the manatees. We saw a handful of them and it felt extraordinary to be so close to them, have them approach us, and even touch us! I already want to go back. Krissy and Fish were both great at showing us the proper etiquette in how to be around manatees. At one point, we even got to see a baby manatee nursing! Krissy made sure we got to see them but also be good distance away so as not to crowd them, and sensed when it was time to leave them. I can tell she really loves these animals, and that directly impacted how she conducted the tour, helped us learn about these creatures, and have a wonderful time. She was great to talk to, also, and took great photos that we can look back on and remember our trip! Fish was really nice to me when I almost had a panic attack when I first got in the water (did not expect that would happen to me). He really took excellent care of me, and that was not in his job description to do that, I’m sure. An exemplary human being! All in all, we could not have asked for a better guide and captain. Homosassa was a really interesting place to visit. I hear it’s less crowded than Crystal River when it comes to viewing the manatees. Final note, I would recommend this outfit over others - we encountered another tourist group who saw us around a manatee, their boat came over, and the people jumped in and crowded the manatee. I thought that was really inconsiderate to the manatee, and I suppose us, as well. We left that manatee right after. Our guides wanted us to have a good time, but not at the expense of crowding and possibly stressing out a manatee.

Airboat tour
We had the best airboat tour yesterday! We booked it together with our private manitee tour on the river, and received a 10% discount by booking 2 tours. We already raved about the manitee tour and will do the same for the airboat tour. We were so lucky to have Irish Dan as our airboat captain and tour guide! He is just so darn funny and so friendly! He has the sharpest eye! He spots every little thing and will cut the engine back to point things out and explain things you are seeing. We were so lucky because he spotted a dolphin and took us close enough to have a look. The dolphin was frolicking around and would swim by us! If we come back to Florida, we will take these tours again and will definitely be requesting Irish Dan for our airboat tour! We highly recommend this tour. We were a group of 6, various ages and personalities and often struggle to find common things to do. We all agreed this was great and we all had a blast and would definitely do it again, with Irish Dan! Thanks again Dan!!
