Manatee Swim and Airboat Tour
We took two separate tours on different days. The airboat tour was with Capt Gavin and he showed us a great time for an hour and a half. The airboat was fun and fast and the scenery is beautiful. The best tour by far though was the semi private manatee swim with Capt Mike and tour guide Paige. We booked a 7am tour which seemed VERY early since we drove up from Tampa but it’s the best bet to see the manatees. After a brief safety video everyone got into wetsuits and headed to the boat. By 8am we were in the water and swimming with manatees. This tour was 4 hours and was worth every penny. We had snacks and drinks provided and a restroom on board if needed. This was a great tour for the whole family, even though I do think older kids/teens would probably enjoy it more than young children. Highly recommend!!

Awesome family experience!
If you are looking for an AWESOME family experience this just might be the best one! Gary was our guide and he did an amazing job. He was attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. I have lived in Florida most of my life and I saw things that I have never seen before. I chose River Adventure Tours after calling several other companies to compare costs. Not only were the cost at River Adventure Tours very reasonable, the person who answered the phone was very helpful and didn't make me feel like they had something more important to do. My family and I had the best time ever and we highly recommend this unique experience to even seasoned Floridians. You will not be sorry you tried this!!! Thanks Gary, there is no doubt you will see me and my family again!!!!

Homosassa river was wall to wall motorboats
Nice spot on Halls river at junction with Homosassa. They are a little small with limited parking but the kayaks were very nice and the checkin was easy and informative. make a reservation online ahead of time to be sure they have a boat rental for you. They said they are building a larger place right across the street that will allow more parking space and room for more boats. Not the outfitters fault but March is not a great month on the Homosassa because of all the spring break motorboats. There were MANY.
