Wonderful collection of pioneer era buildings
All of these buildings were relocated to this spot and randomly places, so it's not like an actual village. But each building is interesting in its own right and having them all in close proximity is very convenient. A few of the most interesting buildings were closed (including the fire station complete with early fire truck, which I would have loved to see op close rather than just through an old window); there was no signage indicating if these building closures were temporary or permanent.

Step into the past
I had seen a glimpse of the village on television and wanted to visit. Christmas seemed a good time. It is a wonderful place to visit and spend an afternoon visiting the various buildings. It gives you a good idea of life in the past and an appreciation of life today. It has been faithfully restored and kept in good condition. It is free to visit which makes it easier for families to visit and learn about the past.
