Small, but mighty museum
NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is a dynamic cultural hub located between Miami and Palm Beach on vibrant Las Olas Boulevard in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale's arts district. The museum's distinctive modernist building, which opened in 1986, was designed by the renowned architect Edward Larrabee Barnes. One Thousand Ocean Memories
They have a beautiful building, covid 19 procedures, great staff. Very good exhibits, visitors 80%- 90% locals, equally divided male & female, main ages 40- 70 yrs. old. Here's an exhibition you can be part of. Artserve and South Florida interdisciplinary artist Lizzy Taber have created a collaboration that explores our relationship with the ocean. Submit a photo of the ocean and a paragraph or two about the memory it evokes. It will be integrated into a mural, that will be installed in the Fort Lauderdale gallery.

Great For a Brief Visit
The NSU Art Museum is advertised all over Fort Lauderdale, especially this week for the Anna Sui exhibit. I found it to be interesting even though I'm not a fashionista. The second floor had several other exhibits by interesting artists. Ike Ude was very unusual and different. I especially enjoyed the works by William J. Glasken, "From Pencil to Paint". All of the second floor exhibits were worth the time to view. There is a small gift shop with splendid items for sale and the staff with whom visitors interact were all very friendly. If you'd like a place to spend an hour or so to get out of the rain, or to take a break from the sun, I recommend this museum.
