Enjoyable visit
We visited Tampa and stopped here. We have an annual membership to our local science museum in West Palm which got us in for free. The museum is not as bit as it appears from the road because some of the buildings are no longer used by the museum. Anyway we enjoyed our visit and learned a lot. The planetarium is an extra 5$. The ropes course is an extra $7. We skipped the ropes course because you can only start at certain times so we would have had to wait. I would recommend planning this when you arrive if interested. There are many restaurants nearby and you can come and go from the museum. We liked the plaza a couple blocks away with Qdoba, Einstein Bagels, and a Mediterranean restaurant. This allowed multiple options for our group.

Great for our 8-10 yr olds
Our 8 and 10 yr old boys have been happy to return multiple times. It’s relatively small, but offers a variety of hands-on activities. If they get tired of the exhibits, there’s a great (additional fee) ropes course. More of a mature children’s museum than adult destination, but parents can enjoy with their kids.
