    MOSH is worth it!
MOSH it was our fist time visiting and it was a great experience! First of all, the discount for EBT cardholders helped me a lot to save money! We purchased the tickets for the Planetarium and Animal Exhibition as well, and it was totally worth it. The museum is small, three floors, but the third floor doesn’t have much, besides the exhibit of some fossils. On the first floor all the exhibitions were great!! Very informative and kept me wanting to read and learn more and more! The animal show felt more like a private show. We went on Saturday, and it wasn’t crowded. It was only the 3 of us there, plus another family of 3. They showed 3 animals. A box turtle, a tortoise, and a snake. The lady was nice, friendly, and able to answer our questions. She didn’t seemed rushed. It lasted around 25 minutes. The Planetarium Show was great too!! We learned so much and the guy made it entertaining, fun, and interesting. The downside for me was to get to the museum. Directions were confusing and I had to cross the bridge twice to be able to get to the museum parking lot. Overall, I recommend this museum. My son is 12 yo and he had a great time!

    Primarily for kids
Hubby and I visited this museum on a Monday. Crowded with screaming kids with adults not keeping them under control. There was two floors of exhibits, with one section not open yet. A small room had a possum, two owls, a couple birds and aquariums with turtles and snakes. Don’t come when they first open at 10 as there is not enough to see to fill the two hours waiting for the first planetarium show at 12. There is free parking near the museum. The section on the history of Jacksonville was interesting but couldn’t really enjoy due to kids screaming and running around.
