Super fun experience...Can't wait to go back!

The IMPROV Comedy Club CityPlace Doral Same ownership as Cooper Blues which is right next door and Comedy Club shares the restrooms with Cooper Blues. We ordered the tickets online and that was a very efficient website and operation. We arrived about 45 minutes before the show we seated immediately and had very good seats. Our server appeared almost immediately. I ordered the chicken quesadillas which were excellent! I was pleasantly surprised because I had a very bad food experience with their sister restaurant next door. The show started just alittle after scheduled time with a GREAT young MC, AND two other TREMENDOUS introductory comedians. The main act was Carlos Mencia and he was very good! The show lasted almost 90 minutes. All in all a GREAT experience and I can’t wait to do it again. I recommend!

    Over priced
We went to see a particular comedian and paid $35 a ticket which was not bad. But the mandatory 2 drink minimum/person plus a burger and fries, and the loaded fries ended up being $112 and the service was slow. We were still waiting for our check even after the comedian was done. The 2 drinks I had were not desirable and I ended up not drinking them. Overall the comedy show was ok but the drink selection or the bartenders need to up their game. Especially if you’re charging $12 for mixed drinks.

Cheap tickets do not mean an inexpensive night
We went to see Ari Shafir and I thought the tickets were pretty inexpensive. More on that later. The space is new and in a huge new money shopping center. So did cocaine make a comeback? Anyway, the venue serves food, which is a weird thing considering people were eating during the show. The venue has a two drink minimum. Which for 2 of is ended up equating to $64. Careful they automatically throw a 20% gratuity on the bill. I figure that’s how they make up for low ticket prices. Oh and my date didn’t even get the overpriced drink she ordered.
