Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere
We spent one night there and thoroughly enjoyed being in the area. I recommend having something in mind to do since options are limited, but its nice just being there. Grab a beer and hang out.

Nice little Park on Lochloosa Lake
Before heading back home from the Island Grove Wine Festival, I pulled in to check out the Lochloosa Lake Park. I driven by here several times in the past. This is a nice, rather small park with a boat ramp for lake fishing, a Gazebo for land fishing and a small picnic area. When I was there, there were enough mosquitoes to carry you away (I strongly advise you have some very effective repellent)!
