A Nice Fishin Day

We rent a ponton boat, excellent service, price and attention. It was my first time in Okeechobee lake, and they gave me a lot of useful information about fishing spots...in conclusion it is worth to repeat this trip

    Fun Day!
We rented a pontoon, to try our hand at fishing, no luck in that department! We had a wonderful time exploring the lake. The service was wonderful, the staff explained about the depth of the lake, most parts 2-3 ft. They helped us load, instructed on how to use the boat and on return helped us unload and get the boat parked. I would recommend this marina for it professionalism, and excellent prices!

Fishing Lake Okeechobee with my girlfriend
When your lady says we're going fishing on Lake O tomorrow you need to cancel what ever you were planning on doing. This day was no exception. It's an hour and a half drive from Fort Myers and worth every minute of it. We've all heard the stories and seen the TV fishing shows of legendary bass on lake Okeechobee. They are all true. The staff at Jolly Roger Marina were very helpful and directed us to some prime locations on this huge body of water. We were going to rent a small 14 foot skiff for an all day adventure. They wisely suggested we upgrade to the boat with trolling motor and bass seats. It made all the difference. The water was a bit rough on the open part of the lake so we moved to several of the secluded marshy areas north of the south canal. The trolling motor gave us access to these back water areas and provided the stealth we needed to quietly approach prime fish locations. Long story short we were out there from 8 AM until we turned the boat in at 4:30PM. The bass we there and we caught our share. I would highly recommend Jolly Roger Marina. They have guide services available, You can rent a boat for 2 people like we did or longer bass boats like you see on the TV shows. They also have pontoon rentals for larger groups. They are a full service marina with repair service for your boat. They also sell boats, motors and all the toys you will need.
