For us, kayaking thru mangroves & understanding from Scott, our guide, how they’re formed was just the best! Scott and his wife Carissa, both grew up here and shared their deep knowledge of the area. Learning that the island we paddled to wasn’t even there 50 years ago - that it had been formed by weather over that short amount of time - really kind of blew our minds. Then, to be able to spend time combing Shell Key was so much fun. You’d be hard pressed to find a better way to spend three hours of your time. Could not recommend it highly enough.

An amazing experience and must do
We absolutely loved the entire experience, watching the cormorants dive for fish, the mangrove tunnels the ocean it’s self everything. Scott, Karissa, and Ty were completely awesome, Scott had really good story’s about growing up in the area he also was extremely attentive to all the people on the tour, Karissa was wonderful as she stayed next to my mom for the entire trip who had never kayaked before in her life. This is by far the best kayaking tour in Florida we will coming back in the future for another tour.

Mangroves, wildlife, and a good time, right price
We looked at a number of available mangrove tour options and I can say this is decidedly one of the best value tours available. It is at least $30 cheaper than the next alternative, I assume largely because it's run and organized by a couple who have been doing it for years, rather than run by a tiring tourist trap. They were very accommodating to our needs and left nothing out. You see plenty of wildlife (breaching fish, dolphins, cormorants, herons, snails, slugs, etc) along the way and you can go at your own pace. Make sure to bring sunscreen! There is a reason that at the time of this writing they have 113 straight 5 star reviews!
