Hoffman's Gourmet Chocolate
I have lived all over this country and have tasted the best foods from every area. I am old and I am spoiled. If you truly have a fine and sensitive taste you will be pleasantly surprised at the taste and quality of the Hoffman's Chocolates. Not cheap but not expensive either. I live 90 miles from the Hoffman's Chocolate Factory and I make special trips and take very discriminating friends with me when we go. It is worth it. Our Christmas Tradition
Every year, the family visits the light display at Hoffman's, followed by a cup of the best hot chocolate, ever. Then, the kids go shopping for a candy or a toy. The chocolate is good, but I wouldn't say it is the best.

There are no factory tours
We visited this factory after reading TripAdvisor recommendations. However, we were told that visitors cannot tour of the factory for sanitary reasons. There is just a glass window to look through and a video to watch. In addition the gardens were closed during our visit in August. The folks who work there were very nice and there is a large store to buy chocolate from, as well as a reasonably nice cafe that sells hot drinks and ice cream. But unless you are in the area, or you want to visit a really good chocolate store, it's not worth going out of your way to visit Hoffman, I'm afraid.
